Fairy Punk Creative Studio was launched in 2009 when Catherine Comte Pulleyblank (known to friends and colleagues as Cato) packed her life into boxes, grabbed the cat, hopped on a plane and crossed the country to live in Whistler and launch her new business.
Designer Bio
Having grown up in cities across North America, Cato developed a passion for the arts, music and the environment, splitting her time between culture indoors and out. After completing her BA in Human Geography at UBC, Catherine pursued environmental and aesthetic design through her work at the UBC Sustainability Office. Moving to Montréal in 2002, Catherine completed an AEC as a Concepteur Infographique in graphic design from College Salette in Montréal. As a senior designer and project director, Catherine has worked for companies including Buffalo Jeans and ORIGIN Design + Communication. Her work spans many sectors including catalogue production, print design for fashion, product development, web design, event promotion and branding. Her many skills have led her to launch Space Cat, her own t-shirt line, and Fairy Punk, her own design studio. Fluently bilingual in French and English she is also an avid climber, cyclist and nordic skier and enjoys jazz and funk music.
